The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert as a marketing communications professional with expertise to develop innovative content agendas that are relevant to the industry on a nationwide scale. The individual in this position has responsibility for creating, and executing a wide-range of print and digital communication content to increase audience development and revenue across all Washington Times Media. The Marketing Communications Specialist will maintain knowledge of current industry practices to make recommendations as related to design and monitors competitive environment (often using metrics) to improve/grow The Washington Times print and digital audience. The Sr. Marketing Communications Specialist will promote a positive public image and control the dissemination of information about The Washington Times, its opportunities and communication programs. This position requires the ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient critical thinking with exceptional organizational and communication skills and the ability to take initiative, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously across multiple projects. A qualified candidate for this position must have 5-7 years of communication experience working in a strong digital and print media environment; preferably in the Washington DC metro area. Demonstrated skills in optimizing web sites and landing pages. knowledge in brand creation, print production and web integration; Past success with subscription-based marketing programs.
