Perspecta is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities Selected candidate will serve as the project manager for a large, complex task order (or a group of task orders affecting the same common/standard/migration system) and shall assist the Program Manager in working with the Government Contracting Officer (CO), the task order-level Task Managers (TM), Government management personnel and customer agency representatives. Under the guidance of the Program Manager, responsible for the overall management of the specific task order(s) and insuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner. Performs enterprise wide horizontal integration planning and interfaces to other functional systems, including the development of conceptual systems requirements; systems integration requirements; systems phasing plan; business application consultation; problem tracking/management; and preparation and delivery of presentations. Will employ project management principles and best practices to infrastructure projects, legacy system sustainment projects, new development programs and special projects. Each type of project has different program and project level review processes. The projects are reviewed in a weekly meeting with PMs responsible for updating and presenting accomplishments, next steps, change requests, help desk tickets, and assistance needed. Provide project management services in support of IT business objectives and ongoing operations. This includes systems and project planning, estimating, execution, implementation and ongoing IT support. As such the contractor shall be required to assist and provide direct support to those Subject Matter Experts (SME's) within the IT Division. Provide the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received. May conduct performance/project analyses during phase-down to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs. Responsibilities include: Assisting with the development and implementation of a project management plan to identify activities, events and documentation key for project execution. Maintaining an integrated master schedule which accounts for all assigned project activities. Researching cost information to assist with the development of cost estimates and project budgets. Participate in the development of required programmatic documentations. Executing specific project activities as required by the Government. Tracking risks and opportunities within assigned project(s), including development and implementation of mitigation plans. Maintaining project management quality control standards and measures by ensuring projects conform to appropriate DHS policy and guidance. Providing input to periodic briefings to the Information Technology Division management outlining the project status and identifying any issues requiring management intervention. Experienced with frequent use and application of technical project standards, principles and theories. Experience working under general supervision, providing solutions to technical project problems of moderate scope/complexity. Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Should have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively with a broad range of people and roles. Ability to proactively identify and tackle issues before they become roadblocks. Ability to manage project plans in MS Project. Experience defining, generating, and reviewing project requirements documentation is required. Experience monitoring project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained is required.
