Senior Financial/ Activity Based Costing (ABC) Analyst.
BCSG is looking to hire an Activity Based Costing (ABC) lead to support a project with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The position is based in Washington DC as part of a dynamic team located on site at FEMA. The ABC Lead will perform and conduct research, gather information, formulate cost allocation approaches and operational concepts, document solution requirements and designs, develop activity cost models, and plan efforts that employ ABC tools, techniques, and procedures. The objective of the project is to identify various costs related to budgetary activities of a FEMA program, which will allow the agency to continuously improve upon its operations and provide justification of budgetary decisions. Responsibilities:. Lead the design, analysis, and preparation of complex studies to determine the cost of activities, channels, products, and services using ABC methods. Performing complex technical tasks such as calculations, data evaluations/analysis, and contributing to studies, plans, presentations and reports. Utilize Activity Based Costing (ABC) tools designed to collect and analyze data. Conduct data analyses and research Advise and share information with client project team(s) and supervisor(s). Monitor assigned projects to ensure that goals and objectives are completed according to schedule. Support senior management and take direction from and communicate effectively with our firm's Program Manager. Able to manage and mentor financial professionals. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements:. Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred). 5+ years of professional/demonstrated work experience within the financial services industry. Proven analytical and problem solving skills. Previous management and supervisory experience. Comfortable interacting with Senior Management and finance teams throughout the organization and the federal agency. Superior ability to communicate concepts and ideas both verbally and in written form. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, with emphasis on strong Excel (macros, pivot tables, look-ups, and filtering) and PowerPoint skills.
