Overview Peraton is seeking a Field Service Engineer for a classified program to provide system analyses and assessments of specialized telecommunications systems, networks, or components. Specialized systems include, but are not limited to, data communications, Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), UHF/VHF radio networks, terrestrial communication, and satellite/microwave communication capabilities. Position requires travel. Responsibilities Responsibilities include: Installation, upgrade, modification, configuration and documentation of communications systems such as data communications, Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), UHF/VHF radio networks, terrestrial communication, and satellite/microwave communication capabilities Testing, training and support to customers regarding technical aspects of communications systems and services. Provide expert and second tier technical support for the installation and repair of complex systems and outages. Applies senior diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Requires Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 5 - 8 years of experience, or a Master's and 3 to 5 years of experience. Working experience in identifying problems, investigating causes and recommending solutions to correct common failures. Current TS/SCI with poly security clearance.
