Counter Sales Representative
The Counter Sales Person is primarily responsible for all counter sales transactions, including but not limited to telephone and walk-in customers. They must process orders, provide pricing information, recommend product substitutes, coordinate orders and delivery of products and expedite sales orders, as and when required. They must ensure that all sales transactions and services are delivered professionally to meet or exceed customer's expectations * Sell distributor products and services * Determine and disseminate customer price and availability information * Recognize when special pricing is required and provide competitive quotations * Understand product applications and assist customers in their selections. * Know distributor inventory including substitutes, as well as local factory and competitor's inventories. * Expedite customer orders through the purchasing department. * Interact with the outside sales, the sales manager, purchasing and marketing for exchanging customer required information. * Provide market pricing level feedback to the management and purchasing department. * Stays up-to-date and informed on products and their uses. * Cooperate with accounting and warehouse department in the daily sales processing, including picking up orders from the warehouse to the customer(s), as needed. * Exercise discretion and independent judgment when communicating with customers, sales representatives, and inter-company personnel. * Keeps all counter displays current and neat.
