BAS/BAC Technician, Engineer (Electro-Mech, Controls, Projects)
SKILLS SUMMARYtechnician, engineering, troubleshooting, HVAC, starting up building automation controls systems for new and existing projects (DMV, Projects last months/years at a time - Full-Time Positions) Job Description: Our client is looking to hire Building Automation Controls (BAS/BAC) project on-site (PO-S) Technicians/ Engineers. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of electrical systems (preferably controls such as PLC's or BAS/BAC systems) and have a strong desire to learn and work hands-on with the electrical control systems that operate an entire buildings mission critical systems. Candidates will work at various client sites in the NOVA/DMV area as well as a day here and there at the Columbia, MD facility and will likely also learn how to build control panels as well as wire and program control systems to be sent into the field for commissioning and start-up.They will primarily be driving to and from client sites in the NOVA area to provide timely customer service and help with troubleshooting, start-up, point to point check out, wiring, maintenance, testing, etc.Work Environment: This person will have a rolling office, meaning they will most likely be working out of their car and at the client job sites in the Ashburn, VA/ data center hub to start. Projects can last months/years and after completion Technicians/Engineers are allocated to the next project locally in the DMV. Training is hands-on (essentially over-the-shoulder). They will be working with a lead tech/engineer to learn the ins/outs of the job. The actual environment will vary, but it's mostly construction sites, must be comfortable with wearing PPE, jeans, steel toe boots, and getting dirty.
