Agile Project Manager
Our Client is in need of a mid-level Project Manager to join its growing Project Management team. This person will roll up to the IT department's lead PM/Scrum Master and work with primarily the security team within infrastructure applications. The new hire will begin with a few of the projects that the security team is working on now and as they gain more experience, they are expected to grow in the department. Responsibilities * Manage mid to long term projects and initiatives that encompass multiple teams.* Lead large scaled implementation projects end to end.* Review and assist with contract negotiations.* Manage the scope and budgets of each project and company initiative.* Communicate project status to the key stakeholders and executives.* Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.* Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities.* Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.* Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business units.* Assist in coaching, mentoring, motivating and advising the project team.* Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices.* Other duties as assigned.Qualifications * Excellent experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SAFe.* Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.* Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.* Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.* Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors and demonstrated communication skills; both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff, all levels of management.* Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executive's sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers.* Team-building skills with technical and non-technical staff.* Must be able to learn, understand and apply new processes & technologies.* Tools: Excel, Word and PowerPoint; Jira.Required Qualifications* 5+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects.* 5+ years of experience working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional environment.* 3+ years of experience with full product life cycle with understanding of agility and various technology methodologies that support that life cycle.* Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs.* Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross - functional environment.Top Three Skills:1. 3-5 years of Project Management experience and working with multiple teams within an IT department. 2. Possessing a PMP, CSM or another project-based certification. 3. Experience leading infrastructure-based (security preferred) projects within an IT department.
