Positions available on a variety of units for various shifts.
Part time and full time opportunities available

  • Experienced & New Graduate Registered Nurses- Must be licensed to practice as a RN or recent RN new graduate.
  • Licensed Practical Nurses Must be licensed to practice as a LPN or recent LPN new graduate.
  • Nursing Care Partners One of the following programs is acceptable for Education: Sentara Care Partner Certificate Program, successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), National Certified Patient Care Technician (NCPCT), Completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School, Current student enrolled in clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory or Physical Therapy). Current work experience within last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant. One year of health care experience preferred.
  • ED Techs- Must have at least one of the following: 1. EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR 2. Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates, OR 3. Current student enrolled in clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, and Physical Therapy).
  • Safety Partners- Prior healthcare experience or enrollment in a health sciences program strongly preferred. Applicants without prior experience or current health sciences program status must successfully complete a Sentara Safety Partner Training Course in addition to core competencies during orientation.
  • Monitor Techs- Completion of approved course or one year experience in monitor surveillance. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Education or experience in an applicable field required. Completion of a monitor technician program is preferred. Experience working as a monitor technician is preferred.
  • Central Sterile Techs- R esponsible for receiving, decontamination, sterilizing, storing, and distributing all instruments handled by Sterile Processing. Assembles and disassembles case carts.
