  • For the GS 14: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level (or equivalent) in the Federal Service. This includes performing two or more of the following activities: the development and use of analytical methodologies pertaining to insurance systems and issues; the development or interpretation of methods and policies that enable effective insurance administration; the administration of contract oversight that ensures contractor compliance and program operation; the rollouts of large insurance service projects or new insurance products involving extensive customer communications; or other technical activities related to implementing and maintaining effective insurance systems.


    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

    Relocation expenses will not be paid. Current OPM employees may qualify as an exception.

    The full performance level of this position is GS-14.
