Apply to join Freddie Mac's growing Credit Risk Transfer, Single Family Securitization development division as our newest Development Lead. The CRT team is an interesting mix of legacy and cloud based technologies that is currently in need of developers. We are looking for people to act as development lead and mentor junior team members. This is an exciting opportunity for a Development Senior position, within our Single-Family IT group. We are seeking a motivated individual for the development team within Single Family BTO.

Responsibilities include:
  • Understand Business Requirements
  • Participate in Requirements Analysis
  • Identify solutions working with Development, Senior Tech Leads, Solution Architects, Information Security, and Data Architects
  • Design Applications based on System Requirements and Architecture, prototype if necessary, develop, unit test and deploy Container platform.
  • Comply with the department /EA application standards and general industry based Java/JEE based application development principles, theories, concepts, documentation and techniques.
  • Contribute and participate in producing high quality of design and code via reviews.
  • Provide production support that includes evaluate defects, investigate cause, and come up with solutions to address defects.
  • Facilitate work between the L1, L2 and Development teams for Production issues.

Qualifications

  • Typically has at least 5-7 years of experience in Design and Development of Applications and Web Services using the Java EE, JSON, XML, Spring Boot, AJAX.Typically has at least 5-7 years of experience in designing in enterprise grade applications using Object Oriented Analysis and Design. Produce high quality design artifacts that cover all aspects of sound architecture. Ability to review and comment on Jr Developers design
  • 5 or more years of experience working in Agile, Scrum/Lean/Kanban, or Scaled Agile organization. Demonstrated ability to use Scrum/Lean/Agile delivery practices to improve teams, quality, and reliability
  • Ability to independently perform the all developer duties from Analysis to deployment to post production defect fixing.
  • Working knowledge of J2EE and Web Services (Java, XML, JQuery JavaScript, HTML, OOA and OOD Concepts)
  • Development and support skills in middleware technologies (WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, JBoss etc.)
  • Good knowledge of database concepts and integration with business application development
  • Hands-on experience with Build and Deployment tools and languages
  • Hands-on experience with automated CI/CD development
  • Good working knowledge of Jenkins, Artifactory, Teamforge GIT, BitBucket, Gradle, Groovy DSL, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet
  • Experience with scripting languages
  • Understanding of cloud technologies and migration strategy
  • Exposure to Container technologies - preferably Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience in using Java presentation frameworks - Angular or similar frameworks, and JQuery
  • Integration experience using Web Services /REST
  • Experience in configuring and tuning applications on Weblogic Server or any standard JEE container.
  • Strong backend experience to develop Data Layer using frameworks like Hibernate, JPA etc.
  • Experience in creating backend frameworks is huge plus.
  • Experience in Data Integration, Messaging/Events and SOA using Oracle SOA Suite
  • Strong experience in using XML, JAXB, and XML/JSON persistence
  • Extensive use of Eclipse (commonly used plug-ins and debug techniques)
  • Experience in code delivery pipelines and adept in building Build and Deployment tools using - ANT, Shell script, Maven, ANSIBLE, Gradle and Jenkins.
  • Expert in creating SQL, XQuery and Stored Procedures, performance tuning of Database queries.

  • Degree in Computer Science or higher or equivalent degreeWorking experience with Docker, Kubernetes container platform

  • CI/CD with Jenkins, Maven or Gradle experience
