The Operations Change Management Senior will be responsible for representing the business owner throughout the life-cycle of multi-disciplinary change initiatives. Ensuring that Applications, Services and Processes being created or enhanced meet operational readiness requirements and data/application standards once implemented.

Your work falls into the following categories:

  • Collaborate with the project team to identify the project parameters including a clear Statement of the Work (SOW) for the vendor, if applicable; what is in and out of scope; known high level internal impacts; and any critical assumptions, constraints or risks that may drive requirements or the project's execution.
  • Review impact assessments to determine if the project will have impacts on operations and the applications or services. Identify and engage with application or service owners that have dependencies or impacts to the change.
  • Review RACI matrix with the project team to understand roles and responsibilities and ensure alignment.
  • Actively participate in all Iteration Planning to ensure user stories are clearly stated, established timelines seem reasonable, and team agrees on the iteration backlog.

  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and describe the business requirements, the functional specifications and Non-functional Requirements (NFRs).
  • Collaborate with business owner to generate production support requirements.
  • Provide data governance and application support/monitoring requirements.
  • Participate in Epic and User story grooming sessions to generate initial backlog as well as backlog refinement.

  • As the business owner point of contact, participate in daily stand up meetings to ensure iteration is on track and operational items are addressed timely.
  • Attend related project meetings, iteration demos and retrospectives.
  • Review and understand architecture documents to comprehend impact to production support requirements.
  • Provide weekly status to business owner highlighting progress, successes, concerns or emerging risks. Document and escalate issues to the business owner timely.

  • Collaborate with the UAT team in developing the UAT strategy.
  • Review, provide input and approve UAT test scripts/test cases developed in partnership with the UAT team.
  • Review final performance testing results to ensure they meet/exceed non-functional requirements.
  • Ensure Information Security performs code scanning during the Vulnerability and Threat Assessment process to test for security vulnerabilities.
  • Review the final report to determine whether operations will accept the risk or establish a remediation plan for the vulnerabilities identified.

Operational Readiness
  • Work with all project stakeholders to evaluate alignment on all technical and operational deliverables to prepare for deployment and production handoff.
  • Ensure that the baseline team has all the knowledge and tools required to support the internal/external customer offering.
  • Identify and document new/revised process and procedures.
  • Ensure Risk & Control Assessment (RCA) is completed for all projects. Upon completion of the RCA, determine whether Ops will accept the risk or establish controls to mitigate the risk.
  • Create and present data governance deliverables to application stakeholders for approval.
  • Ensure the project team completes development of end user documentation, such as user guides, job aids, training documentation, etc.
  • Develop strategy for production validation after deployment and meet with all stakeholders to review and confirm alignment.

  • 6+ years of related experience in change management and/or business operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile project methodology.

  • Knowledge and experience of change management principles, methodologies and tools (Prosci Change Management Certification).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
