Performs a variety of duties to support Shipping/Receiving department including delivery of products via driving our company truck. The candidate will assist in organizing transportation schedules to guarantee on-time shipments. Ensures items are sufficiently package and durable for transporting. Responsibilities: Maintaining production schedule, customer order, work order, or shipping order to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas designated areas. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins. Fills work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line. Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department. Marks materials with identifying information. Opens packages, crates, and other containers. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers. Operates hand truck, cart, dollies, forklift and/ or order-picker Creates shipping documentation and export paperwork. Works closely with Planning/Purchasing departments to assure on-time shipments. Maintains shipment files, issues reports, and responds to customer inquiries regarding status of shipments. Work with others in manufacturing department to assure product moves to the next destination in a safe, protected and timely manner. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Clean driving record/ valid drivers license. Ability to pass DOT exam. One to three years related experience and/or training. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Good communication skills & organizational skills Able to work safely in manufacturing environment. Lifts heavy items and operate a forklift (standing up, sitting down rider, and hand pallet jack).
