Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP is seeking a Financial Data / Pricing Analyst. The Financial Data and Pricing Analyst is a key multi-functional member of the Finance team responsible for supporting financial reporting, data analysis, and pricing. This role will focus on report development (routine and ad-hoc), develop recommendations for improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency based on process and data review, and through data analytics identify trends, especially as it pertains to pricing, leading to improved business outcomes. The Financial Data / Pricing Analyst | Utilizes the firm's accounting databases to prepare standard and ad-hoc level management reports and presentations. | Collaborates with various stakeholders firm-wide to define business reporting requirements and create functional reporting specification documents. | Actively contributes to the improvement of standard reporting of law firm metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to be used by internal management for the purposes of managing their practice or function within the firm. | Validates results, consolidates according to current business needs, and updates various user-friendly Excel templates in preparation for analysis and distribution. | Participates in the monthly close process. Produces and audits reports on activity and other metrics to be included in the monthly financial reports and develops presentations to inform senior management, as needed. | Champions the use of best practices and proactively looks for opportunities to optimize current reporting and develops new approaches to gain efficiency and more insight into financial results. | Leverages multiple technology tools to build scalable reporting solutions. | Participates in the ongoing strategic assessment of technology solutions focused on dashboard delivery of real time information to decision makers. | Provides support for the management and monitoring of the firm's pricing initiatives, including drafting financial and pricing responses, as needed. | Assists in the development and maintaining pricing databases and software to develop and track client / matter budgets. | Provides general support in the revenue process. Billing rates and hour requirements. | Collaborates with various team members within the firm in developing standard processes and procedures for data validation and quality control measures to ensure accuracy and consistency of reports. Qualified candidates will have | Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field. | 2-4 years of experience with developing, performing and analyzing quantitative operational data, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment | Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite with advanced Excel (working with structured data sets and relational data modeling), and understanding of information technology-driven business intelligence tools | Experience with financial software applications and statistical data managements programs, inclusive of products such as Elite, Crystal Reports and Business Intelligence; ability to quickly learn and adapt to new applications, systems and related technologies | Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a sense of urgency and commitment to accuracy and the ability to handle ambiguity and lead areas of responsibility with minimal supervision | Strong attention to detail, initiative and the ability to follow up and follow through; excellent organizational, interpersonal, collaboration, communication and customer service skills; and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously under tight deadlines | Ability to work independently and in a team environment
