Washington, DC Position Description Highly reputed B2B publisher seeks sales rep to sell range of professional news services to national account territory. Ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, customer service approach, and will be self-motivated and persistent. Prior B2B sales experience helpful but not required. General Description Generates sales from current and prospective customer accounts in accordance with assigned sales priorities and company marketing programs. Documents and maintains records of sales contacts in CRM platform. Interacts with customers and prospects in accordance with the highest standards of business conduct and integrity. Accountabilities Performs sales functions, including new business development, cross sales and upgrades of existing customers, and renewal sales, as assigned. Uses open-ended, probing sales techniques to determine customer information needs then presents and sells products that meet those needs. Conducts all customer and prospect interactions according to company and accepted business standards. Interacts with customers and prospects with a relationship-based selling approach. Uses available time effectively and with sensitivity to time priority so that revenue-critical tasks always take precedence over administrative processes. Takes accurate, relevant notes of customer contacts and maintains sales records in an online CRM platform. Fulfills customer information requests within 24 hours and makes follow-up calls no later than five days after dispatch. Communicates customer service problems, new product ideas from marketplace, customer feedback about products, etc. Performs other sales-related activities as required.
