WSHA has been in existence for over 80 years and continues to grow and evolve as the needs of Washington Residents and our member hospitals change. We are located in beautiful downtown Seattle, surrounded by wonderful views of Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains, with easy access to transit and underground parking, and we are currently recruiting for a Senior Director to lead and manage several service lines within Washington Hospital Services ("WHS"), the for-profit subsidiary of the Washington State Hospital Association.. The Senior Director position is a full-time position that will be responsible for management of the Industry Partners program, the Peer Review program, LEAD academy, and other service lines that may be developed in the future. The Senior Director will interface routinely with the WHS Board of Directors, and external prospects and stakeholders. This position will supervise two professional employees and will report to and work closely with the Senior Vice President of Communications and Member Engagement.. Specific duties of this position include, but are not limited to:. Oversee the daily operations of service lines including peer review, the industry partner program, and LEAD Academy. Responsible for developing policies and procedures for all programs.. Contribute to the development and implementation of the WHS strategic plan.. Develop annual budget for all business lines and monitor financial performance.. Work with WSHA staff and members to identify emerging needs of member hospitals and create revenue generating opportunities for WHS. Develop and grow the Industry Partner program operation to ensure increased participation and revenue generation.. Evaluate new business opportunities, including preparation of feasibility studies for presentation to executive leadership and the board.. Regularly reports to the Board and assists with the development of regular board meeting agendas.. Cultivate highly productive relationships and partnerships for the benefit of the organization.. Develop procedures and action plans to impact the cost reduction goals of member hospitals.. Desired qualifications, skills, and abilities:. Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business administration or related field required. Master's degree preferred.. A minimum of seven (7) years related work experience in business development or the healthcare industry required.. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to successfully communicate with a variety of professional constituencies such as Board members, internal and external senior leadership teams, and industry partners;. Superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills.. Proven strategic planning ability coupled with ability to successfully implement plans.. Financial acumen and sound fiscal management ability required.. Experience developing and managing budgets and developing resources;. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively partner with diverse populations;. Proven expertise in marketing and communications;. Ability to develop and monitor processes and procedures and systems;. Experience tracking operational and programmatic work with high levels of collaboration;. Proven ability to mentor employees with flexibility in the face of a changing healthcare environment. Comfortable giving and receiving feedback in a constructive manner to colleagues and supervisors. Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to successfully work independently or collaboratively as a member of a team,. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required. Experience with remote technology, including webcasts, also required.
