    Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade requirement must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

    You qualify for this position at the GS-12 level (starting salary $83,398) if you possess the following:
    One full year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) that demonstrates the following: 1) analyzing the effectiveness of programs and operations; 2) analyzing the productivity and efficiency of resource utilization; 3) collecting, analyzing, and presenting data on organizational or program effectiveness; and 4) developing written position papers with findings and recommendations for decision makers; or 5) preparing briefing materials and conducting oral presentations to decision makers.

    You qualify for this position at the GS-13 level (starting salary $99,172) if you possess the following:
    One full year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) that demonstrates the following: 1) analyzing and advising management on the effectiveness of programs and operations; 2) analyzing and advising the productivity and efficiency of resource utilization; 3) leading projects that involve collecting, analyzing, and presenting data on organizational or program effectiveness; 4) developing written position papers with findings and recommendations for decision makers; and 5) preparing briefing materials and conducting oral presentations to decision makers and senior officials.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and provides valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
