  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

  • In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting econometric modeling and forecasting in the area of labor economics; 2) Performing cost/benefit analysis on major personnel policy changes in the areas of compensation, force shaping, retention, and advancement; 3) Applying knowledge of econometrics, statistics, and labor economic theory in the development of strategic plans and programs for large organizations; 4) Utilizing computer systems and software to perform statistical analysis, business modeling and simulation, development and maintenance of databases for analytical efforts.

    Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess:

    A bachelor's degree in economics that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus;

    OR

    A combination of education and experience with courses equivalent to a major in economics that included at least 21 semester hours in economics and 3 semester hours in statistics, accounting, or calculus, plus appropriate experience or additional education.

    This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
