  • Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS-SCI).
  • Must undergo and successfully complete an initial and periodic Counter-Intelligence Polygraph (CI Poly) examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
  • Must pass an initial and periodic urinalysis screening for illegal drug use.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain access to NSA and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) accredited facilities and networks. [Military Affairs Desk Officer (MADO) Security In-Processing (SIP) process.
  • Temporary duty travel may be required approximately 5% of the time.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or specialized experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.     Experience required: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes making schedules and travel arrangements for senior staff, assisting in completing personnel actions (such as appraisals, ceremonies, awards, leave, and time-keeping), assisting in updating organizational policy and regulations, writing reports, and responding to verbal and written inquiries from internal and external employees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

    Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

    Education:
    Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. Graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position. For this job, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below:

    One and a half years (i.e., 27 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Management or Human Resource Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

    Or

    Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond one year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages.

    Foreign education must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency in order to be considered for this position. You must include this information with your application package.
