Load Advisor Business Intelligence (LA BI) Team is seeking a leader who enjoys transforming data into BI! The ideal candidate has a passion for data analysis, technology and helping people leverage technology to transform their data into meaningful analytics. As a Data Analytics Sr, you will be part of a smart, talented team responsible for supporting the externally facing LA BI product. You will draw on all the skills in your toolkit to analyze, design, and develop analytic solutions that help our customers run more effective operations and make better business decisions.

A Day in the Life…

A typical day includes:

  • Attend daily stand-ups (scrum) and participate in core team hours as the product owner delegate; includes answering development & testing questions along with prioritizing and refining stories in the backlog
  • Facilitate a strategy meeting with a customer to elicit high level requirements for a new project
  • Lead a working session with a cross-functional team to come up with a streamlined design for a dashboard
  • Stakeholder meeting to provide project update or socialize a new proposed solution, often including product demos
  • Independently leverage Tableau or MicroStrategy to conduct data discovery and validate requirement assumptions
  • Create engaging communication materials for a project going live soon (release notes, demos, etc.)
  • Research and reading on the latest development in the Business Intelligence world or Big Data space


Qualifications

  • Typically 3-5 years of experience developing analytic reporting solutions using business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Microstrategy, or comparable BI software
  • Strong SQL skills (knowledge of other data analysis tools like R/Python is plus)
  • Ability to use various data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and identify the right data to be visualized in a Business Intelligence tool
  • Prior UX/UI design experience (knowledge of reporting and dashboard best practices, visual standards, etc.) a strong plus
  • Ability to perform data discovery and find patterns and relationships in data
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience leading project teams, managing and coaching junior staff
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multitask; Prioritizing assignments and working
  • independently to ensure work is completed on schedule and meets customer expectations
