ACCOUNTING AND HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER (Washington, DC) A medium size law firm is looking for an individual to manage its administrative office that is responsible for the Firm's day-to-day accounting/bookkeeping needs including client billing, paying vendor bills, overseeing employee payroll and benefits, generating financial and partner statements, and interfacing with all vendors and with building management and maintenance. In addition, the individual will serve as the Firm's human resources manager. The Firm has approximately 26 employees and 19 partners in two locations - Washington, DC and Philadelphia, PA. This position is located in Washington, DC Qualifications and Experience: Four-year degree from an accredited college or university and at least five years' relevant experience. Two or more years' experience performing similar duties for a law firm is preferred. Experience with the following software is preferred: Aderant Expert Sierra (billing and accounting software) iManage Work (document management software) CPA or substantial accounting background is a plus. Previous human resources experience with knowledge of payroll processing, benefits administration, and administration of leave policies, including family and medical leave act compliance. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects, with a keen sense of accuracy and timeliness and understanding of finance and budget. Willingness to work outside the normal work day on occasion when necessitated by the workload or deadlines. Must exhibit discretion and judgment with regards to client information and personnel issues. This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position seated more than half the time and spend more than half the time viewing a computer screen.
