The opportunity: Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Development and M&A, the Director, M&A Financial Analysis will support the evaluation of public and private company mergers and acquisitions to generate inorganic growth for OpenText. Working with M&A and Finance colleagues, the Director, M&A Financial Analysis will develop and maintain business models and other tools to assess valuation parameters, develop post-transaction financial planning / business case estimates, quantify synergies, estimate and track ROI. Other key responsibilities include: * Collect input from cross-functional diligence team and input data into financial models that you will develop and manage. These models will facilitate M&A go/no-go decisions. * Refine models into operational budgets to facilitate post-transaction business planning. * Track and report ROI and other key M&A performance metrics of a portfolio of acquired assets. * Support OpenText's M&A governance process by succinctly summarizing complex financial data to facilitate reporting and decision-making. * Support cross-functional diligence to facilitate identification and quantification of synergies. * Identify and evaluate M&A target finance processes, systems and tools in the context of M&A portfolio and OpenText financial requirements. This individual is also expected to collaborate with portfolio company finance leaders and managers to develop and maintain ROI and KPI tracking processes, and collaborate on continually refining essential diligence requirements for portfolio company targets. The Director, M&A Financial Analysis will play a highly visible role in OpenText's Corporate Development activities and provide analytic support to the Vice President, including the creation of compelling presentation materials for senior management and board purposes. You are great at: * Executing within an accelerated M&A lifecycle model. * Developing and maintaining Excel workbooks and financial models to facilitate the evaluation of opportunities and quick go/no-go decisions * Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders * Presenting to and interacting with company CEOs. * Being responsible for fostering an open and inclusive work environment. What it takes: * A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant corporate finance experience gained within one or more of the following contexts: capital markets, corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital, preferably in software/technology/information services or a related industry. * Demonstrable experience in developing and managing compaex financial models and articulating the key takeaways from the data. * Strong quantitative and analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, valuation and business case building. * Highly proficient in using PowerPoint and proven ability to develop compelling presentations, write reports and effectively deliver the same to audiences of varying seniority to gain organizational commitment and alignment; ability to balance listening and advocacy to achieve decisions that are well supported. * Effective at building strong and collaborative internal and external relationships. * Four year college degree; MBA and/or CPA preferred. * Ability to travel and work long hours as circumstances demand.
