The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) manages the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program; a Level 1 Acquisition program established for the purpose of fortifying Government networks and systems. The CDM program enables DHS, along with Federal Agencies and state, local, regional, and tribal governments, to enhance and further automate their existing continuous network monitoring capabilities, correlate and analyze critical cybersecurity-related information, and enhance risk-based decision making at the Agency and Federal enterprise level. The Information Assurance / Security Specialist will provide engineering support to include providing analysis of requirements and design specifications, oversight of ongoing CDM DEFEND engineering activities and recommendations to fix the problems with various solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES Support development, drafting, reviewing and/or Quality Assurance of technical cybersecurity documents. Oversee the technical planning and implementation of requests for service, tracking and reporting progress and issues. Participate and perform technical and capability analyses required for approved projects to include data quality tiger teams, storage solution Dashboard reviews, Logical Data Model reviews, Big Data Storage Solutions and other focus groups. Support design specifications for project specific requirements and assist with the planning and execution for the implementations. Assist with the development of specific implementation designs and enhancements. Assist with review of test plans, test execution and test results evaluation. Provide relevant technical input to the Life Cycle Cost Estimate (LCCE) through cross product team engagements. Provide engineering expertise to assist in the development of cost estimates. Assist in the development, review and validation of System Engineering Lifecycle Planning artifacts, functional requirements and capabilities documentation, contractual deliverables, Integrated Master Schedules, Implementation and back out plans, etc. REQUIREMENTS Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or similar discipline. Can Substitute five (5) years of enterprise IT or Cybersecurity experience for a degree in discipline other than above. Familiarity with market leading enterprise IT and/or cybersecurity products and tools such as Splunk Tenable, RSA Archer, IBM BigFix, Forescout, Sailpoint, etc) Minimum 2-3 years of experience applying Systems Engineering principles to IT programs or large acquisition programs, conducting IA assessments or reviews of large programs, or Cybersecurity support to DoD or Federal operational entities. Experience developing or reviewing technical contract deliverables. Secret Clearance Required.
