Compounds and dispenses medications per physician's order; ensures the accuracy and appropriateness of prescribed medications and provides therapeutic intervention. Supervises and provides instruction to Pharmacy Technicians. Patients served include Neonate thru Adult-Geriatric. *Ensures accuracy and appropriateness of prescribed medications and dosages. *Provides drug information. *Supervises daily activities of Pharmacy Technicians. *Maintains emergency drug supplies; maintains and orders controlled drug substance inventory. *Attends and participates in inter-disciplinary patient care rounds. *Participates in department performance improvement activities. Experience & Education: *Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy degree required. *Pharm D. preferred. *One year hospital pharmacy experience preferred. *Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations required. *Able to demonstrate age-specific competency in knowledge, skills and abilities for the appropriate patient care populations served by pharmacy personnel.
