Palace Resorts is looking for a passionate and exciting individual that enjoys traveling and meeting new people while promoting one of the top all inclusive hotel brands in the travel industry. This entry-level outside sales manager position is ideal for someone that is ready to expand and grow their experience within an exciting industry. One of your objectives will be to build relationships with a vast base of established customers and develop new ones. Candidate will participate in a 4-week training program taking place in our executive offices in Miami. Part of the training process includes a visit to our properties in Mexico and Jamaica for product training. Responsibilities: Promote Palace & Le Blanc Resorts within the assigned territory. (Maryland, and DC) Develop new business streams on a daily basis by conducting sales calls, training presentations, and attending industry events. Research and continually source for new revenue opportunities and methods within the territory to increase travel agency sales. Manage business relationships for each travel agency and develop personalized approach to help maximize agencies' profits. Create and execute promotional programs; provide promotional materials to travel agents. Make recommendations to enhance travel agent marketing effectiveness and ensure agencies buy-in to the Palace and Le Blanc marketing philosophy. Manage budget within guidelines to include travel, coop, supplies, advertisement and promotions; Support key accounts, conduct seminars, familiarization trips to Mexico and Jamaica. Participate and represent the brand at Trade and/or Consumer events. Plus, attend other industry functions as needed. The established territory for this position is(Maryland, and DC) . Please note that this is subject to change. Representative is required to live in either Maryland or DC, and will be home-based. Company will provide the appropriate communication tools and work equipment. Salary plus bonuses based on performance and activities. Desired Skills and Experience Education/Experience: Degree preferred or any equivalent combination of education or work experience. Travel industry experience or sales in another industry is a plus Knowledge: Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and Apple Software. Capable of using Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Social media and e-commerce distribution knowledge is a plus. Ability to build personal credibility by way of solid product knowledge, services, procedures, and consistent follow-through. Creative abilities to build relationships within the assigned territories. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing sales environment; ability to shift priorities per business and/or territory demands. Planning skills for developing a sales strategy for the assigned territory. Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team based environment. Effective time management skills to work independently and meet sales goals. Business acumen to combine product knowledge and understand dynamics of profitability. Business acumen to maintain knowledge of market and competitive trends. Customer-centric skills to foster and maintain business relationships and drive results. Excellent verbal and written command of English sufficient to support travel partners with questions/issues as well as to effectively diffuse situations whenever necessary. Ability to travel within field sales territory, hold a valid state drivers' license and maintain a clean driving record. Hold a US Passport for international Travel. Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and travel internationally.
