Overview Peraton is seeking a Systems Administrator to support our customer at the Naval Research Lab (NRL) in Washington, DC. The work will encompass day to day systems operations duties implementing, monitoring, fixing information systems and providing support for the organization's local and remote end users. Perform as a member of the IT support team in providing timely and efficient support to assigned operations; coordinate day-to-day operations; applying security patches/fixes and GPO administration; creating and implementing the domain level security policies. Responsibilities Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, software deployment, security updates and patches. Deploys laptops, desktops, printers and scanners Primary interface with the customer for help desk issues Supports/coordinates on-site installs/upgrades Troubleshoots all hardware/equipment/software and system problems Performs system-level preventive maintenance Suggests new/alternative suggestions for service improvements Qualifications REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or another related technical field with a minimum of five (05) years of experience; eight (08+) plus years is preferred. Equivalent experience maybe considered in lieu of degree. Shall have a minimum of six (06) years of experience with the following: Windows Server 2012 administration IT help desk support experience Relevant computer hardware and software applications, Active Directory, Exchange and Back-up Shall have working knowledge of Windows 10 operating systems and MS Office Suite Security+ certification SECURITY CLEARANCE: Candidate MUST already possess an active Top Secret clearance and have the ability to maintain the clearance.
