Job Description:Under general supervision but in compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures, works with core banking system and core banking system module users to maintain tables and settings in each module. Works with end users to tailor, implement and maintain these applications and their associated business processes.Major Duties & ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes business and technical processes within the Credit Union, in light of the features and functions of our application systems, and constantly seeks to improve systems and reporting to benefit members and staff.Creates and manages work plans for the systems development life cycle.Works with other staff to develop specifications for systems improvements.Maintains user access privileges, tables, help files, training/user documentation, records, and parameters for all Credit Union systems together with other IT staff.Proposes enhancements to operating procedures to optimally exploit the capabilities of Credit Union software, and works with all levels of staff to institute those enhancements.Serves as a resource on the technical structure and function of each application to IT and users and provides significant input to user (including members) documentation.In some cases, implements technical changes to effect systems enhancements, eg, writes simple code using vendor-provided tools to modify or add forms to loan application systems.Works directly with vendors to enhance baseline features of commercial off-the-shelf software packages in use at the Credit Union.Provides training and other presentations to managers and staff on prospective or existing systems.Conducts walkthroughs of systems and enhancements, with IT and with users, to ensure understanding of pending changes and to establish consensus on content, options, and cut-over strategies.Conducts and summarize post-implementation reviews of major systems changes, facilitating discussions among IT, users, and vendors as appropriate in order to improve planning and implementation of systems and enhancements.Complies with all applicable Rules, Regulations and Statutes of the NCUA and other appropriate governing bodies to include but not limited to: the Credit Union Bylaws, Credit Union Code of Conduct, Credit Union Employee Guidebook, Bank Secrecy/Anti-Money Laundering Act, Fair Housing Act, Fair Lending Act, and Fair Credit Reporting.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Experience:Education: Two (2) year college degree OR completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school OR completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.Experience: Two (2) years of general work experience and three (3) years of system analysis experience required.Skills: Self starter with experience in systems development lifecycles, work flow analyses and project management required. Exceptional computer skills required. Must have an understanding of basic applications programming concepts and core retail banking and lending business processes.Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must be able to communicate effectively to translate user requirements to accurate output. Proficient presentation skills required.
