POSITION SUMMARY:To ensure the quality of life and maximum community participation for individuals served; to ensure that individuals live in safe, clean homes of their choosing; to ensure individuals receive required, recommended and desired health services; to advocate with individuals for needed services; to create a collaborative and holistic support network; to support Employment First, connections and belonging for those supported, to focus on supports driven by each person and flexible to meet their individual needs; to ensure staff receive required training, support, coaching and development; to be responsive to all stakehlolders; to provide leadership in supporting change and updating and implementing new systems to align with the Community Settings Rule. Responsible for oversight for assigned department(s) and all outcomes.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Promote and ensure adherence to agency mission and philosophy assuring that individuals are treated with respect and are empowered to make good decisions. Promote and implement "Nothing about Me, Without Me" in all aspects of the team's interactions with individuals served. Ensure individuals direct their Person Centered Planning Meeting and choose outcomes and goals. Develop and maintain systems to monitor implementation of the Person Centered Plans and accomplishment of outcomes. Ensure teams are creating person driven opportunities for community participation to include increasing connections and promoting belonging. Attend and/or conduct routine meetings with individuals served to obtain feedback on supports and areas of improvement. Develop and implement departmental goals with staff, individual and family input. Provide support, training, direction and guidance to directors and all staff under scope of supervision as appropriate. Build collaborative and supportive relationships with all departments and stakeholders. Routinely celebrate accomplishments of individuals and staff. Create and promote departmental culture of continuous self-improvement, teamwork, empowerment, and accountability. Consistently demonstrate the highest standards of support, respect and responsibility to all stakeholders. Ensure the culture and teams are educated about and support Employment First. Create and infuse a culture of holistic services that are dynamic, flexible and meet people's needs in all of their life goals. Fiscal/Administrative/Operations With input from the team, develop, implement and monitor the budget. Revise budget as needed. Implement fiscal procedures that are sound and efficient. Implement systems and practices that are consistent with agency policies, best practices and supportive of staff. Develop, implement and monitor management information systems and reports. Oversee hiring, training, onboarding, development and evaluation, and if necessary, termination of all staff under scope of supervision. Ensure completion of all required reports. Continuous Quality Improvement Participate in agency committees as assigned. Monitor departmental compliance and performance outcome for agency QA goals. Adjust practices as needed to meet goals. Consistently seek ways to improve services utilizing feedback from individuals served, surveys, data and stakeholders. To include periodically attending team meetings, visit sites, and spend time with various stakeholders. Ensure thorough knowledge of and adherence to all applicable regulations and laws. Ensure appropriate provision of 24 hour emergency call service. Complete all agency required trainings for position. Participate in interdepartmental planning. Attend seminars and conferences as required. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Special Education, Counseling, Non-profit Management, or related field. Minimum of 5 years leadership and management experience in the field of developmental disabilities. WORKING CONDITIONS: Position requires being available on a 24 hour basis. Ability to work flexible schedule required. Valid Maryland driver's license and clean driving record required.
