GHD has an immediate opportunity for a Project Engineer within the water/wastewater industry in our Bowie, MD office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Planning, design and construction engineering of water, wastewater, utilities, infrastructure and site-development projects for municipal and private clients. Develop master plans, technical reports, design drawings, contract documents, cost estimates and prepare project permits. Assisting project managers, leading production staff designs projects and technical staff for contract administration of projects under construction. Build client relationships, winning work, staffing projects and staff development. Understand client needs, project scope and Consultancy and Sub-consultancy Agreements Able to work on multi-disciplinary projects and assisting in coordinating these efforts. Work with Service Group Managers, Service Line Coordinators, Business Stream Coordinators, and others tohelp secure projects Assist with project delivery strategy and job plan, QA plan, securing resources, establishing work briefs and budgets Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Master's degree a plus Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in water / wastewater / utility / infrastructure design. Registered Professional Engineers License (State of MD a plus). Experience with computer aided drafting (CAD), water and sewer hydraulic modeling, storm water management, and state and local permitting a plus. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
