Overview We are seeking a Ground Systems Integration and Test Engineer in Greenbelt, MD for our support of the Omnibus Multidiscipline Engineering Services II (OMES-II) contract with NASA at Peraton. Responsibilities Middle level ground system engineering position with an emphasis on mission-level ground system engineering and test services during the continued implementation of system upgrades for JPSS. Oversee the design, development, installation, integration and testing of new hardware and software supporting the JPSS ground system across all areas of Command, Control, and Communication (C3), Operations, Security, Planning and Scheduling. Support level-2 and level-3 verification of system performance Qualifications REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and at least 5+ years of relevant experience, or (Master's Degree in Engineering and at least 3 of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 0 years of experience) 2+ years of a strong ability to lead and interact with distributed team members and different corporate cultures Detailed knowledge and understanding of system engineering concepts related to activities below: Spacecraft technical information engineering Ground system development, installation, test, and operations engineering with NASA, NOAA, DoD, or FAA systems Flight system engineering information management Flight software database and table management Requirements development Ground System Design ConOps Development Interface Design Integration tools System and schedule integration Test Procedure development Mapping Requirements to procedures Verification of requirements PREFERRED: Direct, relevant experience and familiarization with NASA/NOAA system architecture and organizational structures Earth observing mission system engineering skills Experience in ground stations, communications and radio frequency interface testing Task management experience Demonstrated ability to lead and interact with distributed team members and different corporate cultures Self-starter and good organizer Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills About Peraton Are you ready to join the next-generation of national security?
