Our client is a high growth government contractor and they need a Cisco Engineer in support of a long-term Federal civilian engagement in DC. This is a contract to hire role. Job Description Engineer, design and maintain WAN, LAN, UPS and Environment monitoring system for DC headquarters facility and 52 field offices. Install, Configure, and troubleshoot network equipment Coordinate with local ITS and service providers to maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade on a need base for the Verizon MPLS wide area network. Support Internet connection, Remote Access VPN for users and LAN-to LAN IPSec connections to partner networks and dedicated WAN connection, eg vendor hosted site and Microsoft ExpressRoute connection. Design, deploy and utilize network management systems. Manage the network with the monitoring system including Solarwinds Orion network Performance Monitoring System, Netflow and Configuration manager. Create and update network architecture documents and network drawings on a regular basis. Perform network troubleshooting. Coordinate, support and problem solving for and with other OIT teams. Provide timely support in responding to OIT ServiceNow ticketing system in supporting end users' support requests. Required Experience Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field. Experience can be substituted for a degree. 5-7 years of related work experience is required. Must have experience with: Cisco ASA/Firepower firewall Cisco ASA AnyConnect VPN Cisco router support - Wide Area Networking, QOS, BGP, EIGRP, Multicasting routing, Extranet, MS ExpressRoute. Cisco Switch support data and VoIP.
