RCDD EngineerRCDD Engineer/Intelligent Building Systems Electrical Design Engineer with RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer Certification) is needed to assist engineering teams in the design of Low Voltage Electrical Systems and its Infrastructure (such as Fiber Optics, ITS, Healthcare, Public Address, Paging, Distributed Antenna (DAS) Systems, Passive Optical Networks (PONs). This is a direct-hire/permanent position.Responsibilities for the RCDD Engineer/ Intelligent Building Electrical Design Engineer-Low VoltageShall be assigned projects and assist design and engineering for the Scope of these projects. This shall include the identification of contract requirements, developing a design plan milestones and schedule, identifying resources needed to meet the plan and schedule.Shall assist the junior design engineers in establishing a realistic design schedule and needed resources to complete design packages by the established milestones.Shall implement means and methods to develop complete and coordinated designs.On assigned projects shall use the tools available to provide a complete design that allows for a more efficient installation through prefab and automated processes.Shall assist in providing training to the design staff through either informal training lead by the design manager, internal resources, or external resources where available or needed.Shall maintain regular contact with the construction teams to identify areas of concern and improvement with designs to ensure lessons are learned and mistakes are identified and corrected before they become repetitive.Shall assist the capture teams with bids and proposals.Requirements for the RCDD Engineer/ Intelligent Building Systems Electrical Design Engineer:Minimum requirement is a BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer Certification) and an Engineering Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is preferred.The Electrical Design Engineer should have 2+ years progressive responsibility for the design and engineering of Low Voltage Electrical Systems projects, to include for example ITS, Healthcare, Public Address, Paging, Distributed Antenna (DAS) Systems, Passive Optical Networks (PONs). Projects should range in size from $50K to $20M.Must have extensive experience writing specifications and Test Plans.Must have experience is AutoCad, Revit or similar software and be capable of creating drawings from scratch.Must have experience in design revisions and development cycles.Ability to obtain a Security Clearance."Employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position."
