Apply to join Freddie Mac's growing Loan Advisory Suite's (LAS), Loan Product Advisor (LPA) development team as our new Developer. The LPA team is an interesting mix of legacy and cloud based technologies within Single-Family IT's Business Technology Office (BTO) group.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Understand Business needs and processes; identify solutions, present and work with project team/sponsors in identifying best solution
  • Participate in Requirements Analysis; design Applications based on System Requirements
  • Design Applications based on System Requirements and Architecture, prototype if necessary, develop, unit test and deploy Java/JEE applications.
  • Promote top code quality and solve challenging issues related to performance tuning and scalability
  • Contribute and participate in producing high quality of design and code via reviews
  • Implementation of software application changes with aggressive deployment timelines
  • Provide production support that includes evaluate defects, investigate cause and come up with solutions to address defects
  • Comply with the department processes, standards and general industry based Java/JEE based application development principles, theories, concepts, documentation and techniques


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
  • Ability to independently perform the all developer duties from analysis to deployment to post production defect fixing
  • Atleast 4+ years of experience in software development; 2 years of relevant experience and specialized training or certification in the following technologies: J2EE, Java, Web Development and SQL
  • 2+ years of experience in using JEE patterns & experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design using Java and UML
  • Produce high quality design artifacts that cover all aspects of sound architecture. Ability to review and comment on Jr Developers design
  • 2 or more years of experience working in Agile, Scrum/Lean/Kanban, or Scaled Agile organization
  • Working knowledge of J2EE and Web Services (Java, XML, JQuery JavaScript, HTML, OOA and OOD Concepts)
  • Development and support skills in middleware technologies (IIS, WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat,JBoss etc.)
  • Extensive use of Eclipse (commonly used plug-ins and debug techniques)
  • Design and Development (4 years minimum) of web applications using the Java EE, JSP, XML, Weblogic 12, AJAX
  • Experience in using Java & UI frameworks - Angular, Spring, Struts and JQuery
  • Integration experience using Web Services and SOA, primarily on Weblogic platforms
  • Experience in build, deployment and pipeline delivery scripts development using Jenkins, Maven, ANSIBLE, GIT
  • Good knowledge of database concepts with working knowledge of SQL, Stored Procedures, XQuery and XML Query
  • Good communication and team player
