Do you have both accounting and administrative support skills? Our client, a Nonprofit Organization north of Dupont Circle needs a Temporary Accounting assistant to help them with both accounting and human resources support.
On the accounting side, duties will include Accounts Payable and Receivable; collecting invoice approval signatures for the invoice payment process; and handling travel notifications and reconciling travel expenses with the monthly American Express bill. This person will also handle month-end closeout entries and assist with the preparation of audit schedules.
Human Resources support duties will consist of reconciling Semi-Monthly timesheet reports to their project control system and payroll; handling new employee set up in their Payroll and Accounting systems; and providing support to staff with tax forms & other various benefits & payroll changes. Will also maintain employee/personnel files.
Must have month-end close as well as Accounts Payable and Receivable experience and be proficient with MS Office. Excel skills are especially needed and experience using Solomon IV, MS Dynamics SL is preferred.
