Crafthouse Needs dynamic Kitchen Manager(s)to join our team and be part of this exciting fast pace upscale bar & grill restaurant at Crafthouse who loves to engage in our high volume scratch cooking kitchen. The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for the overall operations for the back of house and kitchen area of the restaurant. In addition, kitchen managers ensure that Crafthouse culinary standards are upheld: team members are trained properly, the food looks good and is cooked properly, proportions are correct, served quickly, handle all scheduling, product ordering and maintaining par levels. You must be able to spend most of your time in the kitchen, on your feet for up to 10 hours at a time. The ability to speak Spanish is strongly preferred.Interview, hire, and train associates at all levels in the Back of House as well as Food Runners and Glass washers for front of house bar. Ensure all areas of the restaurant are inspected daily for compliance to standards and policies.Requirements:Minimum 2-to-5 years of experience as Kitchen Manager or Assistant KMManagement Experience must be in a high volume full service Restaurant / Bar & GrillCurrently possess a Serve Safe or DOH Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) CardComputer knowledge (Excel, Word, etc)Sysco Ordering system a plus but not requiredPeach-Works Inventory control system a plus but not requiredFlexible schedule with availability days, nights and weekends.Experience managing food cost controls.Bi-lingual of Spanish and English (highly recommended)Strong knowledge and attention to detail on kitchen operations including: team member training and supervision, inventory controls and product quality.Ability to stand and walk for up to several hours per dayAbility to work seven days a week if necessary if short staffedAbility to lift and carry up to approximately 30 poundsAbility to work in a variety of temperature ranges, including cold temperatures in the cooler/freezer and hot temperatures in the kitchen area.Ability to tolerate loud/noisy environmentAbility to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in lengthAbility to work calm and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environmentExcellent people management skills and ability to direct and lead a team.Excellent communication skills, both written and oralExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailWork authorization:United States (Required)Job Duties / Responsibilities Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Ability to troubleshoot problems as they occur, and conflict resolution skillsRecruits, interviews, hires, trains, schedules, supervises, coaches and inspires all back of house team members Organization offoodproduct,equipment,smallwaresandanyrelateditems.Ongoingeducationanddevelopmentofstaffadheringtosafetyandsanitation andrecipestandards.Bi-weekly& monthly inventoriesOrganizationofstorageareasandproducttominimizeloss&spoilageTrain & Coach Team whiledevelopingstafftoensureaccurateproduction and executionwith minimalwasteofproductScheduling BOH staff using Labor Scheduling Software Ensure proper staff levels to ovoid overtimeTime management of self and staff to ensure optimum production and efficiency. As Kitchen Manager, any short staffed times will be your responsibility to cover or find personnel substitution Ability to work opening, mid, and closing shifts at the restaurantVerifyproperstorageofproduct by Serve-Safe Standards EnsureNightly, WeeklyCleaning of Kitchen, Equipment & FiltersCompleteprepsheetsfornextdayOrganizes and maintains timely paperwork for all hired employees and applicants in accordance to employment lawsTrains back of house team members to increase knowledge about safety, sanitation, and accident prevention principlesControls food, soft drinks costs / par levels and BOH labor costsAbility to Prep, clean, cook at all stations (all job functions of all BOH position)Assist to the creativity and develop a menu items that fits the craft upscale bar & grill concept. Oversees and delegates food prep assignments as needed. Conduct inventories, purchasing, receiving, and storage, ordering of food and supplies to maintain sufficient food product levels..Ensure that all operations, recipe, specifications books, and training materials are current and maintained.Kitchen Equipment (Electrical) Ability to diagnosis & repair a plus but not required.Maintain appropriate cleaning schedules.Assist in established training manualsStrong computer skills including Word, Excel, (Sysco ordering & peach-works a plus.Any other assigned tasks.BenefitsSalary position (50-60 hrs/week expected).Competitive salary based on experience ($42,000 - $55,000)Personal Days (Sick, Personal & Vacation)The opportunity to be on the ground floor of an exciting new concept as we franchise through-out the country.
