  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DA-3 pay band or GS-9/10 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying Human Resources principles, concepts, and practices to provide advice and guidance regarding labor relations and employee relations in support of an organization. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Interpreting complex Human Resources policies, regulatory guides, and laws; 2) Providing advice and assistance on employee relations, discipline, adverse actions, grievances, employee counseling, hours of work, medical absences and documentation, and performance issues; 3) Developing solutions to Human Resources issues and ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements; 4) Coordinating and preparing responses to meet external program reporting requirements; and 5) Providing guidance to employees, managers, and supervisors on grievance procedures and appropriate options for proper resolution of conflicts or problems.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

    Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

    3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

    OR

    LL.M., if related

    OR

    You have a combination of specialized experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Your percentage of the required education plus your percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
