    Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-12, in the Federal Service. This experience must have equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples of qualifying specialized experience:  

    1.  Experience creating, reviewing or assessing an academic residential security program;

    2. Experience developing policies, procedures and minimum standards for residential security program; 

    3. Experience designing or integrating security systems including ongoing monitoring to determine effectiveness and recommend security protocol improvements.  

     There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-13 grade level. 

    This position doesn't have an educational requirement.

    3. Oral Communication- Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
    4.  Self-Management- Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve; demonstrates responsible behavior.
