Education: Successful completion of a full course of study in school of law accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) and have a professional law degree (LL.B. or J.D.)
Bar Membership: Currently a member in good standing (as defined by the pertinent bar) of the bar or a state, territory of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
In addition to the basic requirements, you must also meet the specialized experience described below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience providing direction or guidance related to compliance activities under Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Age Discrimination Act of 1967, the Equal Pay Act of 1963, and the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act of 2008; Advising and making determinations on highly sensitive or complex questions or issues involving civil rights and equal opportunity law and related matters; Serving as the representative in conferring or negotiating with officials, private business, or state and local government on important legal and policy questions; and coordinating with relevant stakeholders to allocate resources, set priorities, delegate authority, or review and evaluate program activities.

- Knowledge of laws, regulations, procedures, policies and directives governing Federal Equal Employment Opportunity under Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and related statutes and Executive Orders that prohibit discrimination.
- Knowledge of EEO complaint intake and processing procedures, including Management Directive 715, Management Directive 110, and related statutes, policies and EEOC guidance.
- Knowledge of organization structure, including the functions of subordinate organizations and their missions.
- Knowledge of personnel management requirements to determine impact of personnel management policies and practices.
