  • You may qualify at the GS-12 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

    One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes:
    • Providing business operations support in the areas of budget formulation, program cost assessment, financial analyses and reporting; and budget execution monitoring.

    You may qualify at the GS-13 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
    One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Creditable specialized experience includes:
    • Analyzing financial and budgetary data/information and making recommendations on complex financial and policy-related issues to senior management officials.
    • Planning, designing, and carrying out projects, studies, or other work with minimal supervision beyond the establishment of overall financial policy objectives and priorities.


    Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
