Integrated Communications and Marketing (ICM) is a multimedia, service-focused communications and marketing operation that leads in shaping the impression of AARP by providing communications planning, marketing, support and execution for AARP's strategic business units.

Summary

Plays an integral role in helping AARP achieve its goal of driving sustainable growth through the best-in-class use of data and analytics. Helps all levels of the organization manage the business using reporting and analytics. Possess technical and analytical skills, as well as business acumen to help turn data into actionable information. Provides strategy, as well as reports, dashboards, and executing testing and optimization strategies to enhance the consumer's online experience. Requires being a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to business and marketing performance analytics.

Responsibilities
  1. Leads the overall measurement strategy for Staying Sharp through discovery and development of measurement plans, learning agendas, and test plans.
  2. Sets up measurement frameworks and actionable insight generation.
  3. Creates, maintains, and delivers dashboards and reports for key stakeholders within the organization.
  4. Derives core insights from data to suggest, create, and execute multivariate or a/b/c tests that drive fundamental improvements to the website experience.
  5. Manages the activities and deliverables of the outsourced partners.
  6. Provides senior executives and line-of-business managers with data-driven decision support through reporting and analysis.
  7. Performs ad hoc analysis requests for line-of-business managers.
  8. Manages third-party data enhancements to customer files.
  9. Evolves analytics processes and tools and incorporates new sources of data to improve understanding of Staying Sharp's digital business and customers on a continuous basis.
  10. Adheres to and enforces AARP data privacy regulations.
  11. Ensures internal and third-party data processors have access to appropriate levels of data.
  12. Guides AAARP development to ensure compliance with emerging data protection policies.
  13. Serves as a change agent within the team, asking tough questions based on user behavior and pushing the team to innovate and think differently.
  14. Works with a number of different software tools and across different internal divisions.


Requirements
  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree (MBA in Marketing or Master of Science in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field preferred) and 10+ years of experience in a leadership role, ideally in data management, including governance, business intelligence, reporting, data science, data architecture, data and predictive analytics, and support of information systems, and information technology.
  • Expertise in defining an overall enterprise data management, analytics and data science, business intelligence, and reporting strategy and delivering against that strategy.
  • Solid expertise and understanding of quantitative analytics, including marketing analytics, statistical modeling, machine learning, digital attribution, forecasting, optimization, and predictive analytics.
  • Solid understanding and proven track record leveraging enterprise data.
  • Management and analytics methodologies and best practices.
  • Hands on experience with Adobe Analytics tools, including Omniture/Site Catalyst, Test and Target, and Audience Manager.
  • Skill merging diverse data from different platforms, formats, and environments to prepare for data analysis.
  • Fluent in building reports and visualizations using Tableau (or similar BI tools).
