Summary

Supports the team to design, implement, and maintain data warehousing and data management solutions to create pristine data and efficiently mobilize it for actionable insights, including building source system ETL processes, building new data processing procedures, verifying data accuracy, and designing complex interactions between data fields within the data management solution. Develops custom software components and processes for analytic applications, such as modeling, mining, and production. Designs, develops, and automates reports that communicate performance and trends, market analysis, financial analysis, and a variety of other business insight needs. Anticipates business needs by designing and building custom queries, technical solutions, and front-end reports that provide actionable insight to end-users, using plugins and technical handlers to disparate systems across the enterprise.

Responsibilities
  1. Works with the team in designing, maintaining, and enhancing the ASI data platform and infrastructure system.
  2. Designs, builds, and maintains ETL feeds for new and existing data sources.
  3. Ensures ongoing accuracy of data ETL feeds, monitoring for changes in the source systems which may alter inbound data.
  4. Builds appropriate linkages and relationships between data fields within ASI data warehouse.
  5. Creates and maintains source-of-truth relationship tables for key fields to be referenced throughout the platform.
  6. Implements a standard nomenclature for use within the Electronic Data Warehouse (EDW), in accordance with policies.
  7. Documents all metadata regarding data source, field type, definition, etc. for each field and table.
  8. Serves as a subject-matter-expert on data sources, structure, and infrastructure solutions.
  9. Works with members of various teams to optimize data and information usage.
  10. Works with the vendor and various internal teams to optimize the platform through hardware or software upgrades or enhancements.
  11. Structures data and database(s) in a way that is easy to understand, query, and display.


Requirements

Completion of a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline, e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and/or Statistics and 3+ years of experience in architecting tools, databases, and technical solutions. Cloud certifications, client-facing experience, and experience with digital/campaign analytics tools an service (e.g., Adobe Test and Target, Adobe Site Catalyst, Google Analytics, Ad Networks, DMPs, DSPs, CMS, Tag Management, RTB APIs, etc.).

Proficiency in SQL Server 2016, AWS, Amazon Redshift, and knowledge of no-SQL databases.

Experience with AWS (Redshift, WP Analytics, Data bricks) and coding (R, Python).

Experience working with databases, manipulating, navigating and harvesting large datasets, building systems for efficient data processing, and providing technical support to teams.

Expertise in managing data update processes across different systems, data integration of disparate data, and associated QA to ensure accuracy from raw status to the reported status.

Expertise in database development to create intelligent mechanisms/tools to match, integrate multiple data sources, and bring metrics to measure campaign efficiency and ROI.

Expertise in migrating development tools into production and automate data reports, including enhancements of business intelligence reporting tools.

Expertise in database server administration to ingest, manipulate, and mobilize data, including (ETL) extract, transfer, and load. Trouble shoots and remedies problems as they occur.

Critical thinking and problem solving -- understands the business problem or decision being made and is able to build the solution to fetch, process, and deliver data, including the technical implementation.

Expertise with large volumes of disparate data, structured and unstructured, such as DFA, Site Click Stream, Social Media, Call Center Scripts, etc.

Effectiveness in working in a time-critical and fast-paced environment.

Must be a self-starter and fast learner with the ability to take new work assignments with little supervision.
