CSN (Community, State and National Affairs)-Programs, Turnkey Programs, (formerly Community Program Design, In-Person and Online Learning) designs and delivers state-of-the-art interactive educational experiences - combining turnkey ease at the local level with scalable nationwide consistency.

Offerings include:
-State-led experiences via "DIY Toolkit" curriculum - available for all state offices
-Online experiences via Learn@50+ (learn.aarp.org)
-In-person, turnkey structured workshops - in 38 markets nationwide (list)
-Light-touch "Pop-Up" booth experiences at fairs and festivals - in 38 Full-Service markets nationwide (list)

In partnership with state and national office colleagues, these offerings are reaching more than 2.3 million individuals a year.

We are seeking a naturally creative self-starter to project manage authoring and producing educational experiences that help adults navigate caregiving, locate employment, and, yes, avoid predatory scams.

Your role will include regularly creating live conversations, packaged content, and other digital experiences, often overlapping. Can you turn abstract concepts into compelling experiences? Responsibilities

What You'll Do
• Lead complex projects from start to finish, including the content development and delivery of interactive, consumer-focused educational experiences across a variety of formats (primarily online) including but not limited to webinars, virtual fairs, and microlearnings

• Partner with stakeholders to coordinate, create, and prioritize projects and resources

• Evaluate data and infer trends to develop content ideas

• Review products for instructional standards, writing standards, and appropriate content flow

• Coordinate among large interdisciplinary groups and one-on-one with subject matter experts

• Empower adults to make educated decisions

About the Successful Candidate
• Utilizes strong communication skills and attention-to-detail to distill complex subjects into inviting, accurate, and accessible educational experiences

• Understands how to set the appropriate tone and plan a project; operates with a sense of urgency.

• Positively influences change through inspirational design, solid rationale, supporting data, and diplomacy

• Anticipates bottlenecks, manages escalation of needs, operates effectively in ambiguous situations, and can make tradeoffs to balance business wants and creative constraints

• Deliver/build content for long (30+ minutes), medium (2-5 minutes) and short format (30-90 seconds) educational experiences

• Is familiar with industry-leading authoring tools such as Storyline, Vyond, and the Adobe Creative Cloud

• Listens and collaborates

• Articulates well and writes effectively

• Gives/accepts constructive and actionable feedback

• Applies empathy, awareness, and persuasion to work

• Flexible, funny, ethical, and superior customer service skills

Travel required - approximately 10%

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, demonstrated experience in program or project management, business administration, marketing, journalism, design or related field; at least 5 years of relevant experience in positions where coordination, networking, information sharing and/or marketing were central to the job. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, demonstrated ability to build, sustain and nurture strong, productive working relationships internally and externally.
