Business Unit Description

AARP Services is the wholly owned for-profit subsidiary of AARP. We generate over a billion dollars annually to AARP through a licensing model whereby industry leaders create branded products for our membership. Within that licensing model, ASI markets to the AARP membership to inform and engage them with these unique benefits.

Summary

ASI is seeking an intern to assist with these membership marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

As the Marketing Intern, you will work directly with the marketing managers across multiple lines of business to help support provider communications programs, such as content marketing, email communications, social media, and sales collateral. We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual who is extremely organized and enjoys working collaboratively. This is a paid
internship which will allow the intern to work no more than 25 hours per week.
  • Support the creation of social media content and strategy.
  • Assist with research, planning, and creation of strategic communications initiatives.
  • Support communications team in various internal and external communications efforts
  • Contribute to strategic communications plans, digital initiatives, and branding strategies that support enterprise and/or line of business goals.
  • Contribute to a range of internal and external communications and projects including presentations, research and data collection, and web content.
  • Assist with design of marketing collateral.


Requirements

AARP also considers non-traditional interns who are looking to re-enter the workforce or change careers. This may include those who have previously graduated college and are now enrolled in a continuing education program.
