    For the GS-09 level  

    Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to GS-07, in the Federal Service.

    Specialized experience is defined as: Providing assistance with analyzing and applying EEO case law, problem solving, helping to identify issues and problems in discrimination cases, and drafting written solutions that comply with federal and agency guidelines and policies.

    OR

    You must possess: Two years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree

    OR  Equivalent combination of education and experience.

    In addition to the specialized experience above applicants must also provide a writing sample to be considered for this position.

    Any applicant falsely claiming an academic degree from an accredited school will be subject to actions ranging from disqualification from federal employment to removal from federal service.

    Evaluation Factors (Competencies) - All qualified applicants will be evaluated on the following key competencies:

    Communication (Oral & Written) - Personally prepares and reviews written documents to ensure accuracy, legal soundness, and sufficiency of supporting documentation. Communicates with a variety of individuals to provide advice, counsel, and interpretation of civil rights laws.

    Planning and Organization -Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short-term and long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes.

    Technical Competency- Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job.

    Project Management- Keeps track of status and progress of work, and makes day to day adjustments in accordance with established priorities.

    The information you provide may be verified by a review of your work experience and/or education, by checking references and through other means (ex. interview).  Your evaluation may also include a review by an HR Specialist or panel and may include other assessment tools (ex. interview, structured interview, written test, work sample, etc).  The examining Human Resources Office (HRO) makes the final determination concerning applicant ratings.  Your resume MUST provide sufficient information to substantiate your vacancy question responses.  If not, the HRO may amend your responses to more accurately reflect the level of competency indicated by the content of your resume.
