The Motley Fool is looking for an organized and dependable Business and Operations Assistant to join our CEO and leadership team in making the world smarter, happier and richer. You will be trusted to complete a wide range of executive, administrative, and support functions, acting as a focused lens for our CEO and leadership team's ongoing projects. Responsibilities can range from developing long-term solutions with appropriate stakeholders when you notice bottlenecks in our processes to scheduling wizardry in Outlook. You will work quickly behind the scenes to impact success at all levels of the business.

How you'll be an invaluable Fool:
  • Fulfill requests from our CEO and leadership team, including assisting with written responses, project management, and organizing in-person and virtual business meetings.
  • Manage projects with multiple stakeholders and see them through, with effective communication, follow-through, and appropriate urgency.
  • Assist in prioritizing assignments and projects through effective communication.
  • Uncover opportunities for increased communication and collaboration between Business Units and suggest solutions.
  • Be responsible for tracking "what's our next action" on projects, and keeping track of progress with relevant stakeholders.
  • Synthesize complex topics into easy to understand outlines or visuals.
  • Provide ready and effective responses to inbound requests and help manage the CEO's business calendars.
  • Manage member and business-development inquiries and brainstorm potential automation processes for recurring inquiries.
  • Communicate with Fools, members, and business-related contacts on the CEO's behalf and coordinate follow-up logistics if necessary.
  • Actively seek new opportunities to help and recognize when things aren't working or could be done better.
  • Be the "Chief Gratitude Manager" and recognize others with personalized notes or gift selection/shopping/sending to extend hospitality and thanks in a warm and impressive manner.
  • Oversee business travel accommodations including working with a travel agent, finalizing reservations (air, transportation, hotel, restaurants, etc.), and resolving potential issues that arise in the duration of travel.
  • Anticipate the needs of the CEO and leadership and think things through regularly to make the best use of time.
  • Occasionally present on behalf of our CEO and leadership team at external events, representing the Fool, our offerings, and who we are.
  • Create an inviting (and Foolish!) experience for guests, including ordering lunch and coffees when needed.
  • Collaborate with the CEO's personal assistant with regard to calendar, logistics, and occasional meals.

What you'll need to succeed:
  • A black belt in GTD.
  • A love of business, investing, or learning about business and investing.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and produce high-quality work.
  • Solid foundation of integrity and honesty in all things you do.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. (People frequently ask you to proofread and edit their work!)
  • High EQ and understanding of confidentiality in a professional environment.
  • Ability to design easy to understand visuals or slides.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
  • Ability to learn quickly and eagerness to explore new things.
