The Outpatient Wellness Clinic (OWC) provides medication management and psychotherapy services to a diverse population of children, families and adults with mental illness. The Front Desk Coordinator maintains a variety of administrative responsibilities to ensure effective operations of the OWC.

Work Schedule:

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
  • 40% complete prior authorizations
  • 60% operate the front desk. Responsibilities include: scheduling patient appointments, checking patients in and out using the electronic medical record, verifying insurance, collecting account balances, answering and directing incoming calls, assisting providers with clerical duties such as scanning and faxing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities and maintaining professionalism
  • Ability to operate multiple phone lines
  • Demonstrates a commitment to teamwork
  • Proficient in navigating an electronic medical record
  • Understanding of insurance and billing processes

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of direct medical office administrative assistant/receptionist/coordinator experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

The Outpatient Wellness Clinic's hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
