Secretary III:
This role provides patient facing financial advising and scheduling support for the Washington Adventist Hospital main OR. The employee needs good communication skills and customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare environment. Typical tasks include confirming coverage requirements for scheduled patients, confirming eligibility for insured patients, scheduling procedures, and kindly and respectfully working with patients and their families to explain their next steps. The candidate must demonstrate actions and attitude that align with the mission of the organization to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

Qualified candidates will possess:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous medical work experience and knowledge of medical terminology
• Previous experience in Patient Access preferred
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks
• Excellent telephone/speaking/communication skills; tact and positive demeanor

Work Schedule:

Full-Time Scheduler for Washington Adventist Hospital Main OR:
Shift: Day (M-F: 8am-4:30pm)
