  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain CNDSP Auditor (CISA, GSNA, or CEH) and Computing Environment (CE) Certification. This position also requires ITIL v3 Foundations.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a TOP Secret clearance.
  • This position is an on-call 24X7 and/or incumbent may be required to work overtime as mission requires.
  • TDY may be required up to 35% of the time.
  • THIS POSITION IS COVERED BY THE CIVILIAN DRUG ABUSE TESTING PROGRAM.
  • INCUMBENT IS REQUIRED TO SIGN A DA FORM 5019-R, ?CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT FOR CERTAIN CIVILIAN POSITIONS IDENTIFIED AS CRITICAL UNDER THE DRUG ABUSE TESTING PROGRAM?, OR A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU).

    A recruitment incentive of up to $25,000 with a Period of Service (POS) of three (3) years to the US Army Corps of Engineers for new federal employee may be authorized.

    In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.     To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) performing security assessments for exploiting IT vulnerabilities AND 2) interpreting results of assessments for determining recommendations to improve security posture and 3) implementing risk management procedures based on assessment results. All experience area shall additionally demonstrate each of the following competencies: 1) Attention to Detail, 2) Customer Service, 3) Oral Communication and 4) Problem Solving.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.


    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
    • Computer Network Defense
    • Information Systems/Network Security
    • Oral Communication
    • Requirements Analysis


    Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

    Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
