    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing work involved in planning, constructing, installing, and operating exhibits, the preparation of gallery space for exhibits, the preservation of historic buildings, or the restoration or preparation of items to be exhibited. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1) Planning, developing and implementing museum exhibit designs from preparation of overall conceptual design through translation of detail design in areas of structure, graphics, finishing and audiovisual; 2) Transforming subject matter and design ideas into physical form within the limits of available space and budget while ensuring adherence to museum industry guidelines; 3) Designing brochures, educational curricula, and other printed materials utilizing computer graphic design programs; 4) Communicating orally and in writing with internal and external contacts by presenting to senior officials, participating in conferences, and negotiating with vendors; and 5) Overseeing and training interns in a museum setting.

    GS-09 Level
    Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing work involved in planning, constructing, installing, and operating exhibits, the preparation of gallery space for exhibits, the preservation of historic buildings, or the restoration or preparation of items to be exhibited. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: 1) Implementing museum exhibit designs from an overall conceptual design by translating detail design in areas of structure, graphics, finishing and audiovisual; 2) Assisting in the design of brochures, educational curricula, and other printed materials utilizing computer graphic design programs; and 3) Communicating orally and in writing with internal and external contacts (i.e. acquiring information from colleagues and requesting quotes from vendors).

    GS-11 Level:

The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.

    GS-09 Level:

    This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

    Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. Additionally, you may be noncompetitively converted to a permanent career-conditional or career appointment under specific conditions.

    This position may require some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing or recurring lifting of moderately heavy items.
