The Finance area of the School of Business at George Mason University invites applications for one or more open-rank tenure-line faculty positions in Finance beginning Fall 2019. These positions are full-time with benefits. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities: Responsibilities will vary with rank, but for all ranks will include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and research publications in top-tier academic journals. The teaching load for this position is determined according to the School's workload policy. Additional responsibilities include conducting high quality research and service to the Finance Area, the School of Business, the University and the profession, such as student mentoring, committee membership, and interfacing with the business community.

Required Qualifications: * A Ph.D. or equivalent in finance from an Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business-accredited university is required. ABD's with significant progress will be considered. * Ability to teach in at least two of the following areas: corporate finance, investments, financial institutions, financial markets, derivatives, international finance, and managerial economics. * Record of scholarship, teaching, and professional achievement commensurate with the appointment. This record should demonstrate potential for publishing significant research in top-tier journals and an ability to teach effectively.

Preferred Qualifications: * Experience teaching at either the graduate or undergraduate level. * Good citizenship is important as is the ability to work well with colleagues.
