Job Details
Sparks Group has partnered with a leading access control company to secure an Inventory Manager to work in their Bethesda, MD location. This is an exciting role with an industry leader that has been in the business for more than 30 years. As an Inventory Manager you will coordinates and oversees fulfilling a high quantity of orders, stocking inventory, sending out parts for repair, and replenishing hardware to the needs of our installation and service teams. Responsibilities:
- Monitor sales and inventory levels of selected SKUs updating forecasts.
- Review sales forecasts; compare to results and update as appropriate.
- Place stocking orders, re-orders and special orders with specific vendors as well as prepare and dispatch purchase orders.
- Confer with vendor contacts to obtain favorable and timely deliveries as well as the best possible pricing.
- Update Inventory software and rollout any new software needed to run the department efficiently.
- Manage Inventory employees and staffing levels.
- Respond to the various departments within the organization who may need information regarding vendors, products, deliveries, etc.
- Check all invoice discrepancies. Correct and approve and return to Accounting in a timely manner.
- Assist with resolving vendor disputes.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Must be an analytical thinker in regard to problem solving.
- Qualified candidates must be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities and projects at once
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills with employees and clients.
- Requires demonstrable knowledge of billing, inventory, and customer base.
- 7-10 years experience managing a high-volume Inventory department with provable metrics of success.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Experience working in a 24/7/365 environment is preferred.
- Experience with Lawson and Sedona is preferred
